About The Firm

At Carlsen Law Offices, we work with families in the process of divorce. Our experience includes working with clients from initial discussion about divorce to appeals of family law issues. This breadth and depth allows us to provide truly compassionate representation for you and your family.

Experienced Representation For Military Divorce

Our attorney has focused her practice on family law issues and because of our location in the Tacoma area, she has developed great skill with issues of military divorce and all aspects of representing servicemembers and their spouses with the complex elements unique to military family law.

A Chosen Profession

Our attorney, Laura A. Carlsen, is particularly adept at constructing arguments. In high school, she joined the debate team and developed a love for argumentation, and her team went to a national tournament. She also learned that debating was a steppingstone to becoming a lawyer. Her skill serves her and her clients well, whether at trial or on appeal.

In addition to her representing clients at trial, she is one of the few family law attorneys who regularly argues these issues at an appellate level. She is also experienced representing clients with divorce and custody cases involving high-conflict, contentious issues.

We Prepare You For The Challenge Of Your Case

Our attorney understands what is at stake in your case: your future and that of your children. We prepare you with the information you will need to deal with the complex legal issues and difficult emotional aspects of a divorce proceeding.

We explain the law, how it affects your facts, how you should comport yourself and how to achieve your goals. It is rarely easy, and we won’t tell you what you want to hear. We let you know what is necessary to be successful with your case.
